Do you know how to practice this at home? Even if you can't read music? If not, click here.

This hymn is much more meaningful if you know the background of it.

Christmas Hymns

I know that Christmas is a ways away, but not for musicians. We need to start Christmas before even Walmart does.

We'll sing Natalia Sleeth's "Were You There on That Christmas Night?" You can hear it in the video to the right.

Men: If you want to practice at home, I've got this MP3 file where the men's parts are extra loud. It's not perfect, but I think it's pretty good!

We'll also be doing a cool version of "O Little Town of Bethlehem" arranged by Blaine's aunt.

What is a "pop up choir?"

Many members would like to participate in the choir, but for various reasons they are unable to do so.

A pop up choir is when any member of the ward who wishes to participate comes and sings with the choir. They sing a hymn out of the hymnbook (it's wise to bring your hymnbook up with you), just as it is written. We perform the intermediate hymn.

Watch the choir director for dynamics (loud and soft) and rhythms. Most importantly, though, come up and participate!
